My why
I came to somatic therapy first as a client. After years of trying different approaches to address my mental and emotional distress, a meditation teacher suggested I explore somatic therapy. I knew nothing about it but was desperate for relief, so I gave it a try. Almost immediately, I felt deep and cellular changes start to unfold.
Over a decade later, I have changed a lot. I am more connected to myself and others, kinder, steadier, and more me. In this process, I found myself wanting to share this work with others, which led me to become a somatic therapist. Whether I'm in the role of therapist or client, I love and believe in this work. It is real and mysterious, and I’m honored to do it alongside you.

How I work
The heart of my work is somatic and relational, rooted in attachment theory and systems thinking. I hold the mind and body as an integrated, self-healing whole that guides the healing process. I believe being connected to others is elemental to the healing process. I also hold that our symptoms are early adaptations that helped us manage painful experiences and, with understanding, can evolve. Together, we will explore the patterns of body and nervous system, experiences that has shaped, and your patterns of relating to support your healing.
I also weave in the following based on client needs and preferences:
I have done various forms of art and contemplative practice for decades and studied/worked in the realms of sociology, restorative justice, education, natural building, life-coaching, and caregiving. I deeply value holding a systems-focused, intersectional, queer, neurodiversity affirming, and complex-trauma focused space. All of this shows up in my work.

- *Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) – deepening emotional connection and safety with your partner(s).
- *Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) – processing and releasing trauma held in your body.
- *Parts Work – exploring the different parts of yourself and how they show up.
- *Structural-Strategic Family Therapy (SFT) – noticing and shifting relationship and family patterns.

Beyond therapy
Things I love: singing, dancing, watercoloring, tending to my flower garden, anything handmade, backyard fires, going fast down hills on a bikes, building earthen homes, natural plaster, warm bodies of water, and forests. Desert lightning is home to me, along with the red clay and croaking frogs of the southeast.
